Coempt Mobile Auth (“the App”) · Provided by Coempt EduTeck Pvt Ltd
Effective date: [11-Aug-2026]
Coempt EduTeck Pvt Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the
Coempt Mobile Auth mobile application, a device-bound authenticator that
generates one-time passwords (OTPs) for signing in to services provided by us or our
partner organisations. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, how we
use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
The App handles only the information needed to authenticate you and to generate one-time
passwords. Specifically:
Account credentials (User ID and password). Entered by you during
registration and transmitted securely to our servers to verify your identity. The App does
not permanently store your password on the device.
Mobile number. Associated with your account in our records and used to
send you a one-time verification code (OTP) by SMS during device registration.
Device identifier. A unique identifier generated by the App and stored on
your device to link (“bind”) your account to this device. It is sent to our
servers as part of registration and OTP generation.
One-time passwords (OTPs). Generated for your login and stored
temporarily (they expire after a few minutes).
The App does not collect your contacts, location, photos,
camera, microphone, or browsing history, and does not contain advertising or
third-party advertising/analytics trackers.
2. How we use the information
To verify your identity and let you sign in (two-step verification).
To register and recognise your device, and to prevent unauthorised access.
To generate and deliver one-time passwords.
To operate, secure, maintain, and improve the authentication service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use
it for advertising.
3. Sharing of information
We share information only as needed to provide the service:
SMS gateway provider. Your mobile number and the OTP message are sent to
a third-party SMS delivery service so the verification code can be delivered to you.
Cloud/hosting provider. Our servers and databases are hosted on secure
cloud infrastructure on our behalf.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law or to
protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and services.
4. Data security
Information is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections and stored on
access-controlled servers. Passwords and secrets are handled using industry-standard
safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable
measures to protect your information.
5. Data retention
We retain account and device information for as long as your account remains active or as
needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. One-time passwords are short-lived
and expire automatically.
6. Account and data deletion
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or the
deletion of your account, by contacting us at the address below. You can also remove the
device binding at any time using the “Re-register device” option in the App.
7. Permissions used by the App
Internet / network access — to communicate securely with our
authentication servers.
8. Children’s privacy
The App is intended for use by registered users of our services and is not directed to
children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with
a revised effective date.
